Felon Looking to Leave the US

Where can an ex-felon move to? I keep seeing a ton of countries who won’t consider me due to my record…or soon-to-be record.

My only desire after my legal hurdles are done with is to leave the USA. I am not a criminal. I am a man who is facing felony charges for an aggravated drug (pot) DUI while I was sober. The aggravated part comes from unknowingly driving on a suspended license. I have a medical marijuana card, so my blood showed I had THC in my system. So despite my innocence I may end this ordeal with a felony charge due to the fact, I cannot afford a lawyer. I’m facing up to 18 months in state prison (Arizona) for this too.

I am sick and tired of living in tyranny and would like a fresh start some place not the US. I hate our government; I fear the police and my job prospects look limited once this is done. I am 38 years old with a master’s degree in secondary education. I used to be a high school English teacher.

All I want is chance to live a life without hassle from the police and not have to pay interest the rest of my life on a debt to society I never actually owed.

Am I screwed or are there still places for people like me?
