FAMILY planning to move to SRI LANKA

Hello. My name is Alen and I live in Slovenia -
Europe. I’m writing also in my family name and hopefully you'll be able to give to us needed help and information. Seven years ago me and my wife went to Sri Lanka and we also married there,
exactly in Kandy. We crossed and visited the beautiful country and from that time we feel this big love and passion for
Sri Lanka. This year we decided that we have to go back to Sri Lanka and maybe
also to stay for a longer period. We have 2 children (2 and 4 years) and making
this move, we are not considering as a piece of cake, as we don’t know Sri Lanka
from the everyday living point of view. At this stage considering to move to Sri Lanka (maybe first for one year) what I would like to know is,
what are the legal regulations and procedures for foreigners - Europeans to do
this step. Me and my wife are both highly educated and at the moment both employed in tourism sector. As we have really a lot of experiences in tourism sector what I’m interested is how are the possibilities of employment for a foreigner
in Sri Lanka or about the regulations and obligation for a foreigner if I would
like to start my own business. Are there special regulations regarding buying or
renting a house, guest house, land,...

As we are considering mabe to stay for teh beggining for one year to see how thing will go on can you help me with the information how much it cost per month to live in sri lanka if I woul like to rent a house, car, bills, expenses and how is with the medical care?

I think I asked you quite a lot of questions and I‘m sure you won’t bear me as you can imagine how many
questions is at the moment in my head as we are considering this big change in
our life.
