Moving to Kampala, Uganda

Hi there,

My family and me are planning to move to Kampala as I was offered a postion there. I was told my salary was going to be 3000USD along with a semi-furnished house in central Kampala. Could anybody who is living/lived there tell me if this salary would be enough for a family of three(my daughter's education excluded)? Will I be bale to save any? How safe is Kampala?
