What are the schools in Malacca like?
"Don't bother! This school is a masterpiece of disorganization and I worried for the safety of my child every day she attended this school. The school offers a 'lunch menu' for the children but the food offered is terrible and hygiene is non-existent. The principals have no concept of modern child care and posess attitudes which are better suited to the 1950's era. It would seem that this school wishes only to separate parents from their money. "For the Malaysians, it is pricey for what they can offer. Academics wise, one may be disappointed as it operates very much like a village school. Not much homework because expatriates do not like them. If you want extra, do at home yourself or go for tuition. For ambitious expatriates wanting solid ECAs, you can give this school a miss. You will be sorely disappointed. Don't come to Malacca at all if you have high expectations. However, if you want to just get by and your child is in primary, perhaps you can made do here.
