"Petty crime, but I am alert to avoid it. Cebu is safer than most American cities," explained one expat living in Cebu City, Philippines.
What are the pros and cons of living in Cebu?

"We have property in a small settlement. We do not have running water in the present but new systems are being constructed. We haul our fresh water from a beautiful spring 10 kilometers away. We have a 4X4 truck and a new Nissan car. We have animals and lots of beautiful plants we are building stone walls and living spaces. We have one Hand thst takes great care and is a valued friend," mentioned another expat living in Cebu.
"Electricity and water can at times be intermittent but are never out for long periods of time. Internet is extremely fast and reliable," said an expat in Cebu.
What type of social life can someone expect in Cebu?
When we asked expats and global nomads about their social experiences in Cebu, they replied:
"Filipinos are very welcoming to foreigners. Friendliest people I have ever known," remarked another expat in Cebu.
"We have 900 square meters of the most beautiful property in our town. People think we are rich we help when we can. Love it here," mentioned another expat inCebu.
"It is helpful to have a trusted Native friend to help you when you need to go to any government agencies to navigate the bureaucracy and language issues," commented one expat who moved to Cebu, Philippines.
What are medical services in Cebu like?
When we asked expats and global nomads about the quality of medical care in Cebu, they replied:
"Healthcare is good and less expensive than in the US. I can buy my Prevastatin over the counter without a prescription," mentioned another expat living in Cebu.
"Competent doctors. Took an appointment a week in advance for an MRI that was needed immediately," said an expat in Cebu.
