"Expats and digital nomads living in Frenaros, often like the relaxed and peaceful atmosphere of the village. They appreciate the friendly and welcoming local community, which makes it easy to integrate and make new friends. The beautiful natural surroundings, including beaches and countryside, provide ample opportunities for outdoor activities and relaxation. The cost of living is relatively low compared to other European countries, making it an affordable option for long-term stays. On the other hand, some expats and digital nomads may find the limited entertainment options and nightlife in Frenaros to be a downside. The village is relatively small, which can lead to a feeling of isolation for those who are used to living in larger cities. Additionally, the public transportation options are limited, making it necessary to have a car to explore the island and access amenities. Finally, the job market in Frenaros may not be as diverse or competitive as in larger cities, which could be a challenge for those looking for local employment opportunities," explained one expat in Frenaros.

"Cypriots are terrible drivers so you have to drive very defensively. But they are very kind and friendly people," said one expat in Frenaros.

What do expats find most challenging?

"There are many Cypriots who are not animal lovers and because there is a lareg population of homeless dogs and cats on the island, sometime you see animal cruelty. This saddens me," remarked one expat in Frenaros.

"Expats in Frenaros may find the local culture to be quite different from what they are used to. The language barrier can be a challenge, as Greek is the official language of the country. Additionally, the local customs and traditions may be unfamiliar to expats, and it can be difficult to adjust to the slower pace of life. Furthermore, the hot and humid climate can be a challenge for those who are not used to it. Finally, the cost of living in Cyprus can be higher than in other countries, making it difficult for expats to budget," explained one expat living in Frenaros.
