"The cost of living in Ranong is considered to be relatively low compared to other parts of the country. Rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center is quite affordable, while outside the city center, it is even cheaper. The cost of utilities such as electricity, heating, cooling, and water is also quite low. Groceries in Ranong are reasonably priced, with local markets offering fresh produce, meat, and seafood at lower prices than supermarkets. Eating out in Ranong is also inexpensive, with local street food being very affordable, while a meal at a mid-range restaurant is moderately priced. Transportation costs in Ranong are also low, with affordable public transportation options such as buses and taxis. Gasoline prices are reasonable, making owning and operating a vehicle a viable option for many. Healthcare in Ranong is also affordable, with both public and private hospitals offering services at reasonable prices. Overall, the cost of living in Ranong is low, making it an attractive option for those looking to live in Thailand on a budget," explained one expat.
