Summary: The cost of living in Santiago, Chile is generally considered to be quite reasonable. A nice one bedroom apartment in Santiago can cost anywhere from $500 to $1,000 USD per month, while a nice two bedroom apartment can cost from $800 to $1,500 USD per month. The cost of dinner at a moderately priced restaurant in Santiago is usually around $15 USD per person.

"The cost of living in Santiago is generally considered to be quite reasonable. Prices for basic necessities such as food, transportation, and housing are generally lower than in other major cities in the region. However, the cost of living can vary depending on the area of the city and the lifestyle of the individual. For example, living in the city center can be more expensive than living in the suburbs. Additionally, the cost of entertainment and leisure activities can be higher than in other cities," wrote a person living in Santiago.
