What are the most challenging aspects of retiring in Panadura?

Answer this Question

We asked retirees what they find the most challenging about retiring in Panadura. They wrote...

"One of the most challenging aspects of retiring in Panadura is the cost of living. Prices for basic necessities such as food, housing, and transportation can be quite high, making it difficult to maintain a comfortable lifestyle. Additionally, the lack of public transportation can make it difficult to get around, especially for those who are not used to driving in the area. Furthermore, the language barrier can be a challenge for those who do not speak the local language, as English is not widely spoken in the area. Finally, the limited access to healthcare and other services can be a challenge for retirees who may need specialized care," remarked another expat who made the move to Panadura, Sri Lanka.
