What are the most challenging aspects of retiring in Accra?

Answer this Question

We asked retirees what they find the most challenging about retiring in Accra. They wrote...

"One of the most challenging aspects of retiring in Accra is the cost of living. Accra is a relatively expensive city, and the cost of basic necessities such as food, housing, and transportation can be quite high. Additionally, the infrastructure in Accra is not as developed as in other cities, making it difficult to access certain services and amenities. Furthermore, the climate in Accra can be quite hot and humid, which can be difficult to adjust to for those who are not used to it. Finally, the language barrier can be a challenge for those who do not speak the local language, as English is not widely spoken in Accra," said a member in Accra, Ghana.
