What is it like to retire in Washington DC?

Answer this Question

We asked retirees what it is like retiring in Washington DC. They said...

"Retiring in Washington DC can be a very rewarding experience. The city offers a wealth of activities and amenities that make it a great place to settle down and enjoy retirement. There are plenty of opportunities to stay active by walking or biking around the city's monuments and parks, and participating in activities in the many culture and arts districts. Additionally, the city is home to some of the best healthcare, museums, and cultural institutions in the country. There is also a variety of housing options that range from affordable condos to luxurious townhouses. While the city can have a higher cost of living than other areas, the quality of life and wide variety of activities can often make it worth the cost," remarked another expat who made the move to Washington DC, United States.
