"Manglaralto and its surroundings are a great retirement destination for retirees. There is an active expat community in the area which includes not only retirees but also families who have chosen to settle here. There is a thriving market for locally-produced crafts, with many of its vendors selling handmade pies, textiles and artworks. Retirees can also find themselves immersed in the uniquely-Ecuadorian barrios, with their vibrant traditional music, dance, and cuisine sure to be a welcome distraction from everyday life. For those looking for recreation, the nearby beaches are popular destinations, while the more adventurous may wish to explore the nearby mangroves and the abundance of other nature trails to be found in the area. There is no shortage of nightlife in Manglaralto either, with plenty of cafes, bars and clubs to be found.
