Will I save money living in Playa Panama?

Answer this Question

We asked expats if they save money living in Playa Panama. They said...

"Yes, you are likely to save money living in Playa Panama compared to the United States. The cost of living in Costa Rica is generally lower than in the U.S. This includes expenses such as housing, groceries, and dining out. Healthcare is also significantly cheaper in Costa Rica. However, the cost of certain goods, particularly imported items, can be higher. It's also worth noting that while the overall cost of living is lower, wages in Costa Rica are also typically lower than in the U.S. Therefore, if you're earning a local income, your purchasing power may not be as high," remarked another expat who made the move to Playa Panama, Costa Rica.
