When we asked people about diversity in Jeddah and whether locals are accepting of differences, they said...

"Jeddah is a diverse city in Saudi Arabia, with people from many different backgrounds and cultures living there. The city is known for its acceptance of different cultures and religions, and people from all walks of life are welcomed in Jeddah. The city is also home to a large expatriate population, which adds to the diversity of the city. "I do not agree with previous poster. There is only one religion allowed. Wahabi Islam. Bible banned - no crosses allowed. Women must wear and abaya- and in some places it is wise to waer headscarf. Men should cover kness and wear long short and long sleves. In Ramadan- no drinking, eating of smoking from dawn to dusk. Stay at home. People though are mostly really friendly if you obey rules," remarked another expat who made the move to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
