What are the schools in New York like?

"We moved to New York in February with a five year old and an eight year old, and this was the only Private School that would consider taking both our children. The rest had long waiting lists and required you to pass the ERB (NY Educational Records Bureau) a year before. ARS was the most flexible in listening to our situation and trying to accomodate us.
