Will I need to travel to see a specialist?

Answer this Question

When we asked members in Saipan if they typically need to travel to see specialists, they replied...

"I have not yet traveled to get care, but my friends do it as a matter of course, to Guam where the care is very good. I do have to get my natural hormone replacement therapy from a practitioner in Hawaii (our previous home), as I haven't been able to find someone to prescribe it here," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Saipan, US.

"Saipan, has a limited number of medical specialists due to its small size and remote location. For highly specialized medical care, people often travel to nearby countries such as the Philippines, Japan, or South Korea. Additionally, some residents may also seek specialized care in the United States, particularly in Hawaii or California," commented one expat who made the move to Saipan, the United States.
