We asked expats and digital nomads what they appreciate the most about the local culture in Malaysia. They wrote...

"Friendliness, kindness, neighbors often help neighbors when you are sick, or sad. They will cook and bring you food. So kind and loving! We do the same for our neighbors," said another expat in Seremban 2, Malaysia.

"Expatriates in Malaysia are drawn to the country’s diverse culture and friendly, welcoming people. They appreciate the country’s rich heritage, as well as its beautiful, natural environment and its unique blend of traditional and modern influences. Expats also value the variety of delicious cuisines, including Malay, Chinese, and Indian, and the many opportunities for outdoor activities such as hiking, climbing, and scuba diving. Additionally, the affordable cost of living and the relatively lower taxes compared to other countries makes living in Malaysia attractive for expats," wrote a member who made the move to Malaysia.
