We asked expats in Norway what banks they use and there advice about banking. They advised...

"If you are considering retiring in Norway, it is important to know that the cost of living is generally higher than in most other countries. It is also important to understand how the Norwegian taxation system works in order to ensure your finances are in order. Additionally, becoming familiar with the Norwegian language is beneficial as non-Norwegian speakers may experience difficulties when dealing with the authorities, for example. Furthermore, research the different healthcare options to get the best out of the Norwegian healthcare system, whether you’re applying for the national health insurance, are covered by a private plan or decide to apply for the Norwegian healthcare card. Lastly, it is worth looking into the Norwegian pension system if you have worked abroad, so that you know all the possibilities presented to you," said a member in Norway.
