Are foreigners allowed to own property in Cameroon?

Answer this Question

When we asked expats in Cameroon if foreigners are allowed to own property, they answered...

"Foreigners are allowed to own property in Cameroon, but there are certain restrictions in place. Foreigners must obtain a permit from the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization in order to purchase property. The permit must be renewed every five years. Additionally, foreigners are not allowed to own land in Cameroon, but they can own buildings and other structures," said another expat in Cameroon.
