Proofreader/Editorial Assistant

Rapidly growing publishing house seeks full-time, highly motivated, and high-energy editorial assistant to assist with proofreading, writing, and editing. Our company publishes e-letters, e-reports, books, courses, news, and subscription services on the topics of living, retiring, investing, and doing business around the world. We're looking to add a full-time proofreader/editorial assistant to our Panama-based staff.

We require someone in the office in Panama City who can help with proofreading, research, editing, and writing and who can contribute to large-scale editorial projects. Please do not apply unless you live in Panama already or are moving imminently with a set arrival date.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate must read and write English as a first language and must have an open mind, a love of travel and discovery, and a strong work ethic. Previous editorial experience a plus but not required. Most important, you must be smart, have a respect for the written word, and want to learn the publishing trade.

The job description includes daily proofreading at a meticulous level, writing at least 1,000 words a day on various subjects to do with living/investing around the world, and significant copy contributions to our monthly subscription services.
