Help! Possibly moving to San Jose Area

Hi!
I am a single 31 year-old woman, possibly moving to the San Jose area. My prospective job recommended the areas of Sabanilla, Curridabat or even San Pedro on the south side, as far as proximity to the job.

Any advice or recommendations?
