Montezuma area

Anyone here live in the Montezuma area? Will be visiting in March. Am researching places to eventually live. Will be visiting Montezuma area and La Fortuna area. We love the beach but realize it's really hot at the coast. I grew up in that type of environment (jungles of Philippines) so I'm aware of what it's like, and frankly, miss that world. Being a kid in a hot jungle is not necessarily the same as being an adult in that environment! Wondering if anyone can share with me what it's like living on the coast.
