Looking to Dive in December

Hello all. I am hoping to come to CR in December to scuba dive and begin to explore the possibility of a retirement life there. Would like to rent a room or apartment if possible. Any advice on what area to stay in, dive company to use, etc... would be appreciated. I will be travelling alone around Dec. 23rd. Want to experience some of that famous Pura Vida for a week or so! Thank You
