I am considering volunteering at either marine conservation or animal sanctuaries in CR. Most of the opportunities I have found seem to be programs that have you pay to fund their project and your accommodations. I was curious if anyone knew if it is possible to volunteer at some of the many conservation sites in CR if I were to move there as a pensioner. Based off of where I could volunteer, I would look to settle in a location nearby. I'm a 47 y/o single male who would be fine off of the beaten path, not looking to be in a major city. I have an environmental science degree if that helps any. I know this opens many other questions, but I figured that it was a good starting point. Thanks in advance for any info you provide.
