Spanish Lessons

I have near future plans to move to Puerto Viejo and want to learn to speak Spanish locally. I have researched the cost of taking Spanish lessons and they appear to be relatively expensive if you take them from a professional establishment. What I’m hoping and desire to do is take lessons from a private local. Any suggestions as to how to go about that. Also, has anyone taken private lessons from a local they could refer me to and if you don’t mind sharing approximately or a range of how much it cost.

Thank you in advance, I greatly appreciate you sharing your information.
