Looking for short term housing in Quito and Cuenca in June

We are flying into Quito in mid June and then flying to Cuenca to investigate it as a possible retirement location. We will need overnight lodging in Quito near the airport for one night on each end of our trip. Does anyone have any suggestions on inexpensive lodging?

We are also looking for lodging for 10 days in Cuenca. Again, any suggestions would be appreciated.
