Horse Community in Ecuador

I'm planning to emigrate to Ecuador shortly after the end of the 2016 racing season of the thoroughbred track I work at. I'm leaning towards the Vilcabamba area because I like small! But, (always the "but") I want to work with/for a really good & humane horse trainer & hacienda owner -- not as a veterinarian, but as a general groom/stable worker just to be around them. I'm looking for Andalusian/Lusitano types, but not a necessity. Also open to other areas of Ecuador, but really looking for <5000-type town/villages. Just need some names or recommendations, & I'll do all the "legwork"!
