Hello everyone, I am new to this site and am looking for some advice. My husband and I are going to be relocating to Ecuador sometime in the next year with our two young children (aged 3 and 9 months currently). We are considering coastal areas like Canoa, Bahia, Manta,Salinas, and as a last case possibly Cuenca. We are not too concerned yet about schools, but this will be a factor in the future. Mostly, we are wondering if these areas are conducive to raising a young family and safety issues. Weather would be nice to know! Are there many other expat families with young children in Ecuador? We are not going to move all our furniture, but would like some advice on possibly shipping some items like kitchen appliances and toys? I have heard these are hard to get there. Thank you so much!
