What advice would you give someone preparing to move to your area about the actual move, choosing a neighborhood and finding a home?

What type of housing do you live in? Is this typical for most expats in your area?

I rent a two bedroom suite in a nice secluded area. We just moved there from a unit on the beach but we needed more space for the money. Yes many expats live here in Negril much the same way I do.

Are your housing costs higher or lower than they were in your home country? What is the average cost of housing there?

My housing costs are actually about the same. I spent $650 per month to rent a unit on the cliffs here in Negril. I just found a new lesser expensove two bedroom suite for $600 per month with elect, cable and water included. On average a home will cost you more in Negril than places like Florida.
