Hassocks is considered a safe rural-suburban area with schools that are considered good. All the basics, such as food shopping, can all be found in Hassocks or a few minutes outside of it. Some might find it a bit boring, particularly if you are a young adult, but this is not much of a problem as Brighton is nearby. Additionally, it's only an hour by train to London if you really want to explore a larger city.

Hassocks Railway Station is on the Brighton Main Line and Thameslink. It is serviced by Southern and Thameslink.

By car, the A23 and M23 take about 80-90 minutes from Hassocks to London without traffic.

Things to Do In and Around Hassocks

For things to do in Hassocks, golf, parks, riding, a museum and more are available. If you like racquet sports, Weald Lawn Tennis and Squash Racquets Club is an option.

The pubs and the restaurants in Hassocks provide nice local options, and it's not far to other towns when you want to get out and see more. The Thatched Inn and the Greyhound Inn are particularly popular.
