"Our plan is to buy property in the Bahamas (am considering other caribbean destinations too) in the next 5+ years and to semi-retire in the next 10-12 years. So far, the Bahamas seems the most likely destination due to its proximity to FL and favorable income taxes - I plan to work remotely (US) on a pt basis for a few years. My dream would be to have a smaller boat (22-24') that we could fish and travel to cays on. That being said, it does not seem like the "tax haven" is much of a haven and makes me wonder if it's such a good idea." - DukeofAbbey

"My permit is due to expire over the Easter holiday. My renewal package is complete and ready for submission. HOwever, my employer owes back National Insurance since October .
