American to Kenya

Hello everyone,

I am a computer professional with my bachelors and my wife is a Licensed Practical Nurse. I have friends in Kenya and we are interested in going there for a year for Humanitarian Relief or to work but we need some assistance in a couple areas.

1. Is there a business that will pay for our flight and provide housing?
2. Do I need to have a work Visa and if so, how do I get one?
3. Is there any volunteer organizations or others that would benefit from someone with a degree in IT System Security?
4. Other than the shots an malaria pills, what else will we need to come for a year or more?

Both of us have had a recurring need to come to Kenya and I am ignorant to the means of getting there but am looking for help and this site seems to be one that can help.
We are both prepared for the trip and the long term relocation but financial resources are sparse.

If anyone works for a business in Kenya that would consider helping us in this goal, I will send my resume where you will see that I am well qualified and a benefit to your business.

If anyone works with a Non-Profit organization that would consider helping us both come to Kenya in exchange for our help with their goals, we can use the assistance.

Please message me if you can help us come to Kenya. Between her skills as a Nurse and mine as a college educated IT professional, I am sure we can come to a balance that will make the cost of bringing us there well worth the expense.

We are willing to come as teachers or stay in our field but must have the flight covered and make a livable wage or have our necessities covered. We will also need a return trip secured ahead of time to prevent being stranded.

This trip must include both of us as I will not leave my wife behind and she could not come alone.
