Moving Your Stuff/ Income Requirements

I don’t have a problem selling or donating most of my possessions, but there are definitely things that I’d want to bring with me - my bicycle, sewing machine, serger, rigid heddle loom, and a few books come to mind. What criteria did you use to decide what to move and what to leave behind? What form of transport would you recommend to get things to my new location?

I’m 63 and don’t plan to start taking Social Security until full retirement age. I have enough in savings to live on during this time, but I’m wondering if I need to show an income in order to stay in Mexico for a few years.
