Our Thoughts and Prayers are with Newtown, Connecticut
11 years ago
Our hearts and prayers go out to the families impacted by the tragic events in Newtown, Connecticut. In the United States and around the world, people are heartbroken and shocked by this senseless act of violence. As a mother of two elementary school children, the tragedy in Newtown hits too close to home. This could have been my children's school. And, our reaction would have been similar, "we never thought that this could happen here." How can another tragedy be prevented? Gun control, violence on screen, school security and mental illness will all be discussed. Will any changes be made politically or socially? What do you think should be done? As expats, how do differences in gun control laws, school security systems and care for the mentally ill where you live contribute to safer or less safe environments?
