Is this a good idea

Hello everyone / anyone. I am a 59 year old married man, disillusioned with UK life, but feel there is a last big adventure in me. Both wife and I have visited SL a couple of times and like everything we have seen. We both need to work and would intend to see out our last days there. Is this the most ridiculous idea ever, or has anyone out there done something similar? We would both value advice and opinion. Many Thanks

Lived in Sri Lanka last year. To enjoy you will do better if you come with a job from abroad as local earnings and jobs are not up to snuff. And I hope you love the rain.

Hi
I have lived in SL for the 4 years. I tried to adobt to the cultures rather than most expats in staying with same life style as their home . I wanted to experience and learn a different way of life.
So if you really after getting away from the usual life of UK and are willing to live more with locals rather than with expats as I have been, then by all means you would feel much better enjoying living here, specially if you are against animals abuse and are a vegan.

If your coming for the my dream home program you must bring a current police report and bank statements showing constant deposits to prove you can support yourself as well as purchasing health insurance. Also you have to deposit $15000. in a government bank there like peoples bank or bank of ceylon.
