Additionally, it's important to have a good understanding of the costs associated with buying a property, including the title and transfer taxes, inspection and appraisal fees, and closing costs. You should also be familiar with the Maryland Homestead Tax Credit to determine the property taxes for potential properties. Lastly, be sure to speak to an experienced real estate agent or attorney to understand the process, specific laws associated with purchasing property in Maryland, and other important pieces of advice," said one expat in Maryland.
