Summary: Bocas del Toro is a province in Panama on the Caribbean side that includes a chain of islands and a mainland region. The three most popular islands are: Isla Colon (the main island), Isla Bastimentos and Isla Carenero. When people talk about going to Bocas del Toro they are often referring to Bocas Town on Isla Colon. With a population of approximately 13,000, Bocas del Toro, Panama enjoys a low cost of living and year-round temperatures in the high 80s to low 90s (and a lot of rainy days). Retirees, global nomads and expats move to Bocas del Toro because of the friendly people, island lifestyle and affordable housing near the beach. How do you get to Bocas del Toro? Take a 30-45 minute flight from Tocumen Airport in Panama City to Bocas del Toro Airport.
