Is the cost of living in St. George's high?
We asked people how much they someone comfortably live on in St. George's, they wrote:
"St. George's is known for its high cost of living. The cost of housing is particularly high, with both rentals and property prices significantly higher than many other places in the world. Utilities such as electricity, water, and internet are also quite expensive. Groceries and dining out can also be costly due to the fact that most food items are imported. Transportation costs can add up as well, with high prices for both public transportation and private vehicles. Healthcare is another major expense, with high-quality medical care available but at a high cost. Education, particularly international schooling, can also be quite expensive. Despite the high cost of living, many residents feel that the high quality of life, beautiful surroundings, and friendly community make it worth it. However, it's important for anyone considering moving to St. George's to be aware of these costs and plan their finances accordingly," explained one expat living in St. George's.
