Housing is one of the most significant expenses, with rental prices for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center being considerably high. Outside the city center, the rental prices drop slightly but are still substantial. The cost of groceries and dining out in Sandys is also high. Imported goods, in particular, can be quite expensive due to the import taxes. This includes items like fruits, vegetables, and other staple foods. Transportation costs can also add up, whether you're using public transportation or maintaining a private vehicle. Gasoline prices are high, and so are the costs for vehicle maintenance and insurance. Utilities such as electricity, heating, cooling, and water are also quite expensive in Sandys, Bermuda. Internet and mobile services are also on the higher end of the scale. Despite the high cost of living, many residents feel that the quality of life, safety, and natural beauty of Sandys, Bermuda make it worth the expense," wrote a person living in Sandys.
