"The cost of living in Siem Reap, Cambodia is relatively low compared to many Western countries. Rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center can be quite affordable, while outside the city center, it can be even cheaper. The cost of utilities such as electricity, heating, cooling, and water is also quite low. Groceries are also inexpensive, with local markets offering fresh produce, meat, and seafood at very reasonable prices. Eating out at local restaurants can be very affordable, while dining at more upscale, Western-style restaurants can be a bit more expensive. Public transportation in Siem Reap is also quite cheap, with tuk-tuks and motorbike taxis being the most common modes of transport. However, many people choose to rent or buy a bicycle or motorbike for convenience. Healthcare in Siem Reap is relatively inexpensive, but it's worth noting that while basic healthcare services are affordable, more complex treatments may require travel to a larger city or even out of the country. Overall, the cost of living in Siem Reap is low, making it an attractive destination for expats and retirees.
