Is the cost of living in Cane Garden Bay high?

We asked people how much they someone comfortably live on in Cane Garden Bay, they wrote:

"The cost of living in Cane Garden Bay, British Virgin Islands, is considered to be high compared to many other locations. This is largely due to the fact that it is a popular tourist destination and a renowned offshore financial center. Housing is one of the most significant expenses, with rental prices for apartments and houses being quite high, especially those with ocean views or proximity to the beach. Buying property is also expensive, with prices for homes and land being well above average. Food and groceries are also costly in Cane Garden Bay. Most food items are imported, which adds to their price. Dining out, especially at tourist-oriented restaurants, can also be quite pricey. Transportation costs can also be high, especially if you plan to rent or buy a car. Gas prices are higher than in many other places due to import costs. However, public transportation and taxis are available and are a more affordable option. Healthcare is another significant expense. While the quality of healthcare is generally good, it can be expensive, especially for specialized treatment or in case of emergencies. Despite the high cost of living, many people find living in Cane Garden Bay worth it due to its beautiful beaches, warm climate, and friendly community," explained one expat.
