Generally, accommodation and dining out tend to be quite affordable, with basic amenities such as transportation and utilities also relatively inexpensive. Groceries can be slightly more expensive than in other parts of the city, but buying in bulk usually helps to offset this. Additionally, entertainment and leisure activities are widely available and often of good value for money," said one expat in Shanghai, China.
