"If you approach your doctor with your birth plan and know what kind of experience you want, they will try to accommodate it. Also, find out the OB's c-section rate and episiotomy rate. Malaysia is a very c-section prone country, but there are doctors who will be happy to have someone who is trying to deliver vaginally and non-medicated. Do come to KL, though. Not sure what the medical service is like elsewhere," mentioned another expat when asked about moving to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Make sure to research the laws and regulations regarding birth certificates and other paperwork that may be required. 6. Have a plan for childcare and other support services that may be needed after the baby is born. 7.
