"Before retiring in South Africa, expats should familiarize themselves with the country's visa and residency requirements. They should also research the cost of living in the area they plan to live in, as well as the availability of healthcare and other services. Additionally, expats should consider the safety and security of the area they plan to live in, as well as the local culture and customs. Finally, expats should make sure to have a valid passport and any other necessary documents before arriving in South Africa," commented one expat who made the move to South Africa.
