Honest Builders

Is this a oxymoron?

I took a small beating trying to find a builder. To costly, to expensive. inept. misleading or down right robbers.

I now believe I got very lucky. I will not publish who they are for obvious reasons. I will give those who ask, if asked. They have had robbers and hustlers that already have tried them. I will only share with those I vet first.
I will not add to the bad guys knowingly,

Two young men who went to architecture and engineering school together. The college located in Managua. One is a active professor at said college. the other does the hands on building work. The professor does the plans and cad drawings for his partner. Both are Nicas. I have met their families and been to the college to see the amazing computer programs that create the images and structures of homes and buildings.
The builder has a regular crew who I have met, and usually can be found on site. Sometimes 7 days a week. He charges me what i believe is a fair rate. " Had bids" and so far for a piecemeal payouts. What I mean is by partial job I had large retaining wall problems told me cost and materials divided into sections after the first materials paid by section completed. Usually every two weeks he started new section. told me what it should cost how it would be done, sent me pictures and timed it so I could fly down and inspect. Which I have.

He made a sad comment, that stuck with me " that it is easier for a crook than a honest man to find work in Nicaragua" I hope if he is right that he will help change that.

Their is a lot more to the story I hope this is enough to start a conversation.
