"Emergency services in Paros are similar to those in other parts of the country, with medical, fire, and police services available to respond to emergencies. It is important to provide clear information about your location and the nature of the emergency when calling for assistance," said an expat in Paros.

Will I need to travel to see a specialist?

"While Paros, has some medical facilities and professionals, it may not have a large number of highly specialized medical specialists. For highly specialized medical care, people from Paros often travel to larger cities in Greece, such as Athens or Thessaloniki, where there are more advanced hospitals and a wider range of medical specialists available. In some cases, patients may also seek medical care in other European countries if they require very specific expertise or treatment options," said an expat in Paros.

"In Athens the care is different to UK, for instance there needs to be a carer for the patient, a relative or someone privately paid for when you are in the hospital. Specialist healthcare is quite widely available here, and appointments are offered quickly," commented one expat living in Paros, Greece.
