There is a small but active expat community in Piriapolis, mostly made up of retirees from the United States, Canada, and Europe. They often organize social events and activities, providing a sense of community and camaraderie. Culturally, Piriapolis offers a rich tapestry of experiences. The town is home to several historical landmarks, including the iconic Argentino Hotel and the Castle of Piria. There are also numerous art galleries, museums, and cultural centers that regularly host exhibitions and events. Recreational opportunities abound in Piriapolis.
