"The cost of living in Armenia is generally considered to be affordable, especially when compared to larger cities in the country. Housing and rental prices are relatively low, while utilities and transportation costs are also quite reasonable. Groceries and food prices are inexpensive, with local markets offering fresh produce at affordable rates. Eating out at restaurants and enjoying leisure activities can be done without breaking the bank. However, imported goods and some services may be more expensive due to import taxes and limited availability. Overall, Armenia offers a comfortable and budget-friendly lifestyle for both locals and expats," remarked one in Armenia.

"It is highly likely that you will save money living in Armenia compared to the United States. The cost of living in Armenia is generally lower than in the U.S., with more affordable housing, transportation, and food prices. However, your personal savings will depend on your lifestyle, spending habits, and the specific area in which you choose to live. Additionally, factors such as income, job opportunities, and access to healthcare and education should also be considered when comparing the overall costs of living in the two countries," remarked one expat in Armenia.

What is the average cost of housing in Armenia?

If you are thinking about moving to Armenia, cost of living in probably a key consideration. Expats commented about the cost of housing:

"The average cost of housing in Armenia, can vary depending on the type of property and location. Generally, the prices for apartments range from affordable to moderately expensive, while houses can be more costly. In the city center, the cost of renting a one-bedroom apartment is relatively low, while outside the city center, it is even more affordable. For larger apartments or houses, the prices increase accordingly. When it comes to purchasing property, the cost per square meter also varies depending on the location, with city center properties being more expensive than those outside the city center," remarked one in Armenia.
