Rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center is affordable, while outside the city center, it is even cheaper. The cost of utilities such as electricity, heating, cooling, water, and garbage is also quite low. Groceries in Santa Ana are reasonably priced. Local markets offer fresh produce, meat, and dairy products at lower prices than in supermarkets. Eating out in Santa Ana is also inexpensive, with local restaurants and street food being very affordable. Public transportation in Santa Ana is very cheap, making it an economical choice for daily commuting. However, owning and maintaining a car can be more expensive due to the cost of gasoline and car maintenance. Healthcare in Santa Ana is also affordable, especially when compared to countries like the United States. However, the quality of healthcare can vary, and for serious medical conditions, it may be necessary to travel to a larger city or even out of the country. Overall, while salaries in Santa Ana are typically lower than in many Western countries, the low cost of living can make it a comfortable place to live for those on a budget," explained one expat.
