"The cost of living in Igoumenitsa is considered to be relatively affordable compared to other European cities. Rent for a one-bedroom apartment in the city center is quite reasonable, while outside the city center, it is even cheaper. The cost of utilities such as electricity, heating, cooling, water, and garbage is also quite low. When it comes to groceries, prices are moderate. Items like bread, milk, eggs, fruits, and vegetables are reasonably priced. Eating out at an inexpensive restaurant is also quite affordable, while a three-course meal for two people at a mid-range restaurant can be a bit more expensive. Public transportation in Igoumenitsa is also quite affordable, with a one-way ticket costing less than a cup of cappuccino. Gasoline prices, however, are quite high compared to other countries. In terms of healthcare, the cost is relatively low, especially if you are covered by the national health insurance. Education, particularly in public schools, is free. Overall, the cost of living in Igoumenitsa is quite manageable, especially if you are earning a local salary. However, like any other place, your cost of living will depend on your lifestyle and spending habits," explained one expat living in Igoumenitsa.
